Privacy Policy – Sudoku
Last updated: 2026-11-05
This Privacy Policy explains how ARASAKA Wiktor Petryszyn ("we", "us") handles information when you use the
Sudoku mobile game (package dev.petryszyn.freegames.sudoku, the "App").
Contact (data controller): ARASAKA Wiktor Petryszyn, Cynamonowa 42/3, 51-180 Wrocław, e-mail: [email protected]
1. Summary
- No account, sign-in or registration. We do not ask for your name, e-mail, phone number or location.
- Your game progress, settings and daily-challenge streak are stored only on your device.
- The App shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID.
- We use Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand how the game is played and to fix crashes.
- The optional "Remove ads" purchase is processed by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
- We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information stored on your device
The App saves puzzle progress (completed puzzles, stars and results), settings (e.g. language, sound, vibration), daily-challenge history, hint and life counters, and whether ads were removed. This data stays on your device, is not sent to us, and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays banner ads and optional rewarded ads (watched voluntarily, e.g. for a hint or extra lives) provided by Google AdMob. To deliver, measure and personalise ads and prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- the advertising ID of your device,
- device information (model, operating system, language, IP address-derived approximate location),
- ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).
Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): before personalised ads are shown, the App displays Google's consent message (User Messaging Platform). You can refuse personalised ads; you will then see non-personalised ads. You can change your choice later in the App's settings where available, or by resetting/deleting your advertising ID in your device settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads).
More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services.
4. Analytics and crash reports (Google Firebase)
We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events, such as starting or completing a puzzle, using a hint, watching a rewarded ad or starting a purchase, together with device model, OS version, app version, country and an app-instance identifier. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports (stack traces, device and app state at the time of a crash). This data is not linked to your name or e-mail and is used only to improve the game and fix bugs. Google retains Analytics data for 2 months and Crashlytics data for up to 90 days.
More information: Firebase privacy and security.
5. In-app purchase
The App offers one optional, one-time purchase, "Remove ads". Payment is handled entirely by Google Play under Google's Privacy Policy. The App only receives confirmation that the purchase is owned, so that ads can be turned off and the purchase restored on reinstall.
6. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Personalised advertising: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time.
- Non-personalised ads, analytics and crash reporting: our legitimate interest in financing a free game, keeping it stable and improving it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Processing a purchase: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
7. Sharing and international transfers
Data collected by AdMob and Firebase is processed by Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd as our service provider or as an independent controller (for advertising). Google may process data outside the EEA, including in the USA, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not share data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. Because we do not collect identifying information, we usually cannot link any data to you; you can reset your advertising ID at any time and delete all local data by uninstalling the App. To exercise your rights, contact us at [email protected]. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Poland: President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO, uodo.gov.pl).
9. Children
The App is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
Data stored on your device is protected by the operating system's app sandbox. Data sent to Google services is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
11. Changes
We may update this policy, for example when the App's features change. The current version is always available at this address, with the date of the last update at the top.
